Experts from the Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences’ Institute for Problems of Hydrocarbon Processing are assisting the company in modernizing its catalytic cracking catalyst line. The Kazakhstan Institute of Catalysis is responsible for developing catalysts for hydroprocessing. Kazakhstani experts have previously developed middle distillate hydrotreating catalysts, allowing them to make sulfur-free products that meet all Euro-5 standards. To accommodate the market’s demand for premium petroleum products, the firm recently concentrated its refining operations.

Refinery upgrades have enabled LLP Expressoil to grow its product line, become more competitive, and improve the quality of its goods over time. Rebuilding this oil refinery is a watershed moment in Kazakhstan’s history. During the program’s implementation, environmental class K5 motor fuels were produced at 100% capacity for Kazakhstan’s domestic market in line with TR TS 013/2009 Technical Regulations. Since 2020, several of the Company’s refineries have produced motor gasoline with better operational and environmental qualities, such as AI-95-K5 Euro-6 and AI-100-K5.

Aside from petroleum products, the refinery produces liquid paraffin, roofing and insulating materials, and aromatics. The refinery manufactures bitumen, jet fuel, roofing materials, and diesel fuel, among other items that meet worldwide quality requirements. LLP Expressoil extends its manufacturing facilities on an annual basis. The refinery is developing a tiered process flow diagram innovation strategy to minimize operational costs, increase petroleum product quality, improve industrial and environmental safety, and cut overall costs.
